SIF Muntenia bought Erste Bank stock worth RON 3 M

The Financial Investment Company Muntenia S.A. (SIF Muntenia) has recently acquired 22,300 of Erste Bank shares, representing 0.07 per cent of the bank’s share capital, for RON 3.05 M, according to a communiqué remitted yesterday to the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), Mediafax reports.

The stock was transferred for an average price of RON 137.029 apiece, 0.7 per cent below the Erste quotation at the closing of transactions on Thursday. Thursday’s trading session registered for Erste Bank shares a downward trend of 1.99 per cent. The Erste Bank stock has been traded on BVB since mid February. Erste Bank, the majority stockholder in the Romanian Commercial Bank, posted last year a net profit of EUR 1.7 bln, up 26 per cent against 2006. Sursa: http://www.nineoclock.ro
