Private contribution to energy-generating projects in joint-stock companies
ROMPRES - Romanian News Agency - 17 Martie 2008
The investors interested in setting up joint-stock companies together with the state energy producers will have to contribute at least 30% of the necessary capital for the project, reads a draft Government Decision, initiated by the State's Assets Privatization Authority.
This draft normative act regulates the drawing of some investments for the business operators with state majority capital in the sector of electricity and thermal energy generation.
The document provides for the possibility of establishing some new energy-generating units, with higher quality parameters, which can replace the existing less competitive facilities, by joint-stock companies of IPP (independent energy generator) type, within which the private investor ensure the necessary capital for implementing and operating the project, and the state companies contribute with their assets.
