Market of office furniture put at 80 million euros

The market of office furniture was put at 80 million euros in 2007, the market of class A 'turn key' refurbishments, between 60 and 70 million euros, data from Corporate Office Solutions Co. (COS) say.

COS posted 14.5 million euros in turnover in 2007, it held a 25-30 percent market share of the 'turn key' refurbishments for class A offices. For 2008, the company estimates a 15 rise in sales from 2007, with the number of office buildings increasing, most of them are in class A, and will be ready in 2008-2009. In its ten years of activity in Romania, COS supplied over 3,500 projects of refurbishments of office buildings, its portfolio numbers over 600 corporate, multinational and local customers, from various fields. The highest demand of integrated solutions for office refurbishments came in 2007 from the banking, car, telecommunications and IT fields. Corporate Office Solutions was launched in the market in 1997, as the only authorized distributor in the local market of Steelcase group, the biggest world maker of office furniture. Among the company's customers, there are Orange, Vodafone, Cosmote, Coca-Cola, Michelin, Colgate-Palmolive, British American Tobacco, Philip Morris, Mercedes-Benz, Saint Gobain, the World Bank, BRD - Groupe Societe Generale, ABN AMRO, Generali, Aviva, Citibank, Microsoft, Oracle, Hewlett-Packard, etc. For 2008, COS officials believe the most active sectors generating demand of integrated solutions for office refurbishments, at national level, will be bank subsidiaries, operational centers and call centers.
