BVB closed in the red, influenced by problems in the English banking system

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed its session yesterday dropping by 0.6% at the level of the composite index BET-C, after the London bank HBOS registered losses of up to 18%.
Thus, the Romanian capital market joined the European dropping trend and the most liquid ten companies listed went down by 0.7%. The BET-FI index which follows the evolution of the five SIFs lost at least 3.4%. The most liquid issuer was SIF Oltenia with tradings of 2.21 million euro. The company’s shares dropped by 2.6% reaching the price of 2.97 lei/unit.To the end, the Petrom quota reached the green, closing on the up by 2.1% up to 0.44 lei/unit. BVB and Rasdaq liquidity was 14.6 million euro, out of which the share of the main market was 12.9 million euros.
