Vosganian: 20% of T-bonds market will be brokered on capital market in 2008

20% of the T-bonds market will be brokered on the capital market if the T-bonds start to be listed on the Stock Exchange this spring, Economy and Finance Minister Varujan Vosganian told a Thursday's conference on stock exchange topics.

He said that two weeks ago, the Ministry of Economy and Finance /MEF/, BNR and the National Securities Commission /CNVM/ agreed on a simultaneous trading formula of the T-bonds, both on Bucharest Stock Exchange /BVB/ and on the inter-banking secondary market. The IT systems of the two markets - SAFIR (for the inter-banking market) and ROCLEAR (for BVB) - will be interconnected to allow the exchange of information, and the T-bonds will be disbursed on each market. At the end, BNR will be the single depositor of the T-bonds. Varujan Vosganian said recently the listing of the T-bonds would be finalized in March from legislative and organization standpoints.
