Rulmentul platform to be put up for sale

The Insolvency House Transilvania SPRL, the liquidator of the Rulmentul plant based in Brasov (north-west of Bucharest), is to try on Friday for the third time to put up this company for sale.

The General Assembly of Creditors, which convened on March 10 to approve a new strategy in terms of capitalization of the plant's assets, decided to sell such assets at the same price as before, in the other two bids, that is 70 million euros. The Rulmentul platform had been put up for sale two times already since the beginning of the year, with the stock of ball bearings having been three times evaluated at 2.5 million euros. Nevertheless, nobody has taken an interest in the industrial platform or in the stock of ball bearings, although the task books were bought. The Rulmentul shareholders decided thus to completely restructure the plant on June 28, 2007, approving at the same time the measures related to the voluntary dissolution and liquidation of the plant. Rulmentul SA launched the insolvency procedure in August, 2007, immediately after the expiration of Ordinance No 3/2007, postponing the insolvency of several such companies, among which the plant in Brasov, for a six-month period.
