Bucharest Bourse Launches Arena Gateway Trading Application

The Bucharest stock exchange will launch Friday a new version of its trading system, called Arena Gateway, which aims to optimize the operating flux with online trading platforms managed by brokers, the bourse said in a statement.

Arena Gateway will ensure the exchange of information between brokers’ platforms and the systems operated by the Bucharest bourse, via API programming interface, the statement noted. “Arena Gateway will stimulate online access of retail investors and will represent a professional instrument for corporate investors,” the head of Bucharest bourse Stere Farmache said. The new application complies with international bourse regulations stipulated by the European Directive on markets and financial instruments MiFID regarding interconnection compatibility with external platforms and modern accessibility practices, the bourse said.
