EoN Kraftwerke and Enel invest in Braila-based thermal power plant

Companies EoN Kraftwerke GmbH (Germany) and Enel SpA (Italy) made a consortium to invest in the construction of new production facilities at the branch of Electrocentrale Braila, Termoelectrica informs.

Within the process of drawing investments through the Green/Brown project for the establishment of independent energy generators, having as contribution in kind assets of Termoelectrica - branch Electrocentrale Braila and financial contribution of a prospective investor, in which the majority stake should be held by investor, on April 3, 2008 the German-Italian consortium received the official confirmation for the setting-up, alongside Termoelectrica, the implementation of Braila project. Through the official confirmation, the first stage of the process of attracting investments in SE Braila was completed and the second stage has started immediately. The second stage entails the drawing up of the feasibility study and the assessment report of the contribution in kind of Termoelectrica in the future company.
