Raiffeisen evolution to develop real estate project, 700 mln euros worth, in Straulesti

Raiffeisen evolution plans development of a real estate project in the value of 600-700 million euros, in Straulesti, in Bucharest's northern part, which is to be finalized sometime between 2011 and 2016, announced on Wednesday director of Raiffeisen evolution Romania Monica Barcutean.

According to her, Petrom put on sale a plot of land of 100,000 square meters in Straulesti, close to the future Petrom City headquarters, purchased by Raiffeisen evolution in December 2007, following a tender. 'We do not know which will be the final destination of this real estate project. We launched a market study, currently under way and, according to its results, we are to take a decision to this end', said Barcutean. She also said that the Romanian real estate market is in a steady movement. 'Two years ago, offices were in high demand and last year housing units', said the company's official. As well, Raiffeisen evolution is to build a residential complex in Balotesti, in the value of some 30 million euros, on a three-hectare plot of land. The project will include 170 housing units, respectively individual villas or buildings with up to three apartments. Each housing unit will have a surface ranging between 90 and 160 square meters.
