Luxembourg-based Pioneer Company to launch ten global investments funds in Romania

Pioneer Asset Management Company of Luxembourg will start sending notifications to the National Securities Commission (CNVM) of its intent to distribute ten of the 68 Pioneer sub-funds to Romania.
It will probably be ten of the investment sub-funds aimed at several regions worldwide. They have not been selected yet, but four of them will invest in Europe, three in North America and more three in Asia, South America and other emergent markets, Pioneer Asset Management Romanian executive manager Florin Dolea told the Business Standard daily on Thursday.
Thus, Pioneer Funds grows to 77 units its foreign mutual funds offer to the Romanian investors thanks to their ‘EU passport'.
Societe Generale Asset Management manages 11 of these funds, and Raiffeisen Capital Management launched more 11, last autumn.
In its turn, Erste Sparinvest launched 6 funds and it aims to number 20, while Eurobank EFG Funds announced it would launch 25 in June.
The above mentioned four European investments companies belong to financial groups that own, in Romania, strong banking networks such as UniCredit, BRD, Raiffeisen, BCR and Bancpost. Likewise, their Romanian-based branches manage, on the local market, 19 mutual funds, all sort, having net assets worth 511 million lei (abut 137 million euros), late last month.
The bonds of the ten new international funds will be distributed through the UniCredit Tiriac Bank network.
