Over 45 international new brands at Baneasa Shopping City

Baneasa Shopping City, the first mall in northern Bucharest, opens on Friday and hosts over 220 stores, restaurants and amusement places, over 45 international brands entering the local market here.
The mall will have a 85,000 sqare metre rentable area (double compared to Plaza Romania or Mall Bucharest), the investment being put at 150 million euros.
There will be 27 new brands in the clothes, shoes and accessories sector, 7 new brands of restaurants and 3 new brands of jewelry.
Most stores are opened under franchise, such as IKKS women clothes store, brought by Azteca CLC Group, and Cacharel men clothes, brought by retailer M&M Retail.
Cosmetics brand Douglas enters the market, joining the well-known players Sephora, Sabon, The Body Shop and Beautik.
On the jewelry sector, So Chic, Zen and Goldas enter the market, competing with the already existing brands Cellini, Swarovski, Micri Gold, Kultho, Carlo Montini, Folli Follie.
Baneasa Shopping Center has 170 clothes and shoes stores, most of them being brands known on the local market. Only ten are domestic brands, the rest being international giants, such as Inditex, Solmar or Peek & Cloppenburg.
Three new brands of underwear appear on the market, La Senza, Palmeros and Oysho, besides the existing brands Triumph, ID Sarrieri and Etam.
Baneasa Shopping Center is the fifth mall opened in Bucharest after Bucharest Mall, Plaza Romania, City Mall and Unirea Shopping Center.
