SIFs buy shares worth 10 million euros in Q1

Financial Investment Companies (SIFs) acquired shares worth 10 million euros in the first quarter of the year, according to an analysis of the brokerage company Prime Transaction quoted on Monday by the Business Standard daily.

Each SIF invested in the first three months of the year between one and two million euros in listed shares.According to the abovementioned analysis, SIF Moldova was the most active of the SIFs on the Stock Exchange, having bought shares from 16 companies, but nevertheless with SIF Transylvania having realized the most significant trades.Thus, the most significant trades realized by SIF Transylvania in this interval were the acquisition of 15.7 percent of the shares of Romradiatoare (radiators) based in Brasov (central Romania), in a deal worth 1.3 million euros, and also the trade in which it acquired 25,000 shares of the Bucuresti Turism (tourism) company in a deal worth 1.2 million euros.Ranking 2nd in terms of value of investments was SIF Banata-Crisana, especially due to the trade in which it acquired 0.03 percent of Petrom, with the titles being worth 1.9 million euros, that is the last trade price.SIF Moldova focused in its turn mainly on the shares of the liquid issuers, with the value of the shares acquired being 1.6 million euros. The most important acquisition in terms of value was a share package of 15,846 units of Transgaz, worth more than 900,000 euros.A single investment holds the largest weight also in the ranking of the acquisitions of SIF Oltenia, that is the acquisition of a share package of 5.01 shares of Argus Constanta (southeastern Romania), with the company having paid 0,9 million euros.In terms of sales, the most active on the relevant market were SIF Moldova and SIF Oltenia. Among the most important sales realized by SIF Moldova there was the sale of a share package worth 6.2 million euros from the Banca Transylvania, worth 1 million euros, while SIF Oltenia cashed 800,000 euros by selling 45.78 percent of the shares of Socom Ramnicu-Valcea.
