TotalSoft to open office in US

The Romanian producer of software solutions for the business environment TotalSoft announced its wants to open offices is the United States, Bulgaria and Hungary.

The US office will be opened this year together with a US partner, in Washington or Chicago. The company's long-term goal is to reach a 100 million dollar turnover over the next five years. TotalSoft wants a 30 percent increase in turnover, to 16.5 million euros, and a 65 percent increase in profit, to 4 million euros. The company's expansion strategy is based exclusively on selling software applications. TotalSoft, Ascenta (part of Softwin Group) and Intrarom established a consortium aiming to implement IT solutions in the Romanian public administration, in an attempt to attract some of the 336 million euro European funds Romania is to receive over 2007-2013. 'The structural funds for IT segment can be accessed in the next two months. This will have a positive impact and will revitalize the IT market,' said general manager Liviu Dragan.
