MedLife's turnover doubles in Q1

MedLife reported in Q1 a turnover of $7.2 million, up 95 percent as against the same period of last year when it stood at $3.7 million.

‘'The turnover which we reported in the first three months is a confirmation of the fact we are still the leader of the market of private medical services. The high occupancy rate of the Life Memorial Hospital, development of medical specializations at Grivita Hyperclinic, the rise in the number of subscribers and the inauguration of the Hyperclinic Unirii in Bucharest are only a few of the reasons which generated MedLife's financial growth over this period,'' said Mihail Marcu, president of MedLife. In the first three months of 2008, MedLife reported investments worth some $2.5 million which were directed to the opening of Hyperclinic MedLife Unirii, the acquisition of state-of-the-art medical equipment for medical units within Grivita Hyperclinic and the construction works of MedLab in Cluj-Napoca. MedLife is leader on the market of medical services and holds a 32 percent market share in Bucharest on one of the most important market segments in Bucharest, the segment of services provided to corporate customers. MedLife employs 635 people, of which 400 are doctors and medical staff.
