Esplanada, public-private partnership approved by Government

Esplanada real estate project has become a public-private partnership, after approval on Monday of an Emergency Ordinance, in a government meeting in Bucharest, says a press release of the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Housing (MDLPL).

The ministry was empowered to sign the contract with private investors. The project, worth around one billion euros, fully financed by private investors, views the construction of an urban center including buildings, green areas, infrastructure works, with all the necessary equipment, and the efficient exploitation of the center. The project, in downtown Bucharest, will include, in a first stage, a cultural building worth over 40 million euros, spaces for offices for state institutions, stretching over around 12,000 sq m, public underground car parks, all of them absolutely necessary for increasing the quality of life.
