Discount state bonds worth 200.3 million lei

The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) placed on Wednesday an issue of discount bonds falling due in one year and drew from the market 200.328 million lei worth an average yield of 10.22 percent a year, according to figures supplied by the National bank of Romania. (BNR).
The issue of state bonds had an overall value of 600 million lei, but the maximal yield accepted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance was of 10.49 percent and the most expensive offers from banks were rejected.
The overall offer of banks was of 872.228 million lei. The nominal value of a discount bond stands at 10,000 lei.
At the auction 12 primary dealers submitted buying bids for state bonds - ABN Amro Bank, Alpha Bank Romania, BRD Groupe Societe Generale, Romanian Commercial Bank (BCR), Transilvania Bank, Bancpost, Citibank Romania, Romania Savings Bank - CEC, ING, MKB Romexterra, Raiffeisen Bank and UniCredit Tiriac Bank.
