AVAS extends deadline for bid submission for Avioane Craiova

The Authority for Privatization of State's Assets has decided to extend the deadline for submitting the takeover bids for Avioane Craiova until May 20, reads an AVAS release.

The AVAS decision to extend the deadline was taken following the requests from some investors interested in conducting their own auditing on the company. Thus, the opening of the participation documents will take place on May 20, 2008, at the AVAS head office, in the presence of all bidders. The access to the Data Chamber has been extended to May 19, 2008, inclusively. AVAS sells 80.97% of the company's shares and the nominal value of one share stands at 2.5 RON. The privatization will be done through negotiation based on final, improved and irrevocable bids. Avioane Craiova was set up in 1972 and its main activity is aircraft repair. The company is also the single producer of military aircraft in Romanian and the training aircraft IAR 99 HAWK, compatible with NATO standards, made for the Romanian Air Forces.
