Finance Ministry issues bonds worth 69 million RON

The Ministry of Economy and Finance on Thursday issued benchmark bonds, of 41 months maturity, and drew from the market 68.96 million RON (almost 18.8 million euros), with an average yield of 9.82 percent annually and an average price of 94.7794 RON, Romania's Central Bank (BNR) said.
The benchmark bonds issue stands at 200 million RON (almost 54.4 million euros), the Ministry of Economy and Finance accepted a maximum yield of 10 percent, and a price of 94.2960 RON, more expensive offers by banks were rejected.
The total offer by banks stood at 441.89 million RON (or 120.4 million euros). The face value of a benchmark bond is of 10,000 RON, and the coupon rate is of eight percent.
Offers were made by 12 primary dealers, ie. ABN Amro Bank, Alpha Bank Romania, BRD - Groupe Societe Generale, Romanian Commercial Bank, Transylvania Bank, Bancpost, Citibank Romania, CEC Bank, ING, MKB Romexterra, Raiffeisen Bank and UniCredit Tiriac Bank.
