SIFs post 4.2% stock exchange gain

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) ended yesterday’s session up, with financial investment companies (SIF) posting the largest gains, of 4.22 percent, according to the BET-FI index. The BET-C composite index advanced 2.19 percent, while the BET index, which monitors the evolution of the 10 most liquid companies, rose 2.51 percent.
The most traded issuer was Banca Transilvania that dropped 39.42 percent, after BVB suspended the percentage price limit for the bank’s shares. Companies with top liquidity were SSIF Broker, with 3.68 percent, and SIF Moldova, with 2.42 percent.
SIF Moldova had the highest liquidity on BVB, of €4.7 million, followed by Banca Transilvania, with €4.5 mln, and Transelectrica. SIF Oltenia increased 4.07 percent, while SIF Muntenia advanced 5.23 percent. BVB’s closing session ended with liquidity worth RON 34.58 mln (€9.42 mln).
