ROMPRES - Romanian News Agency - 19 Mai 2008
Industrial group Petro Carbo Chem, the minority shareholder of Oltchim, will build in partnership with the chemical plant in Valcea /north-west of Bucharest/ a polyurethane factory on the latter's platform, which will be functional in some 2 years, on Friday the PCC development manager Wojciech Zaremba told Rompres.
According to him, the project was started last year, after Petro Carbo Chem and Oltchim established a joint venture, in which PCC holds 60% and Oltchim - 40%.
'We will soon finalize a part of this factory, to which PCC contributed 15 million dollars in cash, and Oltchim - 10 million dollars, in equipment', said the PCC official.
Polyurethane is a chemical product used for making the plastics used in the furniture, automotive, construction and household appliance industries.
