Isarescu: Central Bank keeps inflation forecast

Romania's Central Bank (BNR) keeps its forecasts on inflation, but new elements could appear until the next report, BNR governor Mugur Isarescu on Friday told a press conference.

'We adjust estimates on inflation to realities. I don's share views suggesting that the future can be foreseen as accurately as drugs are made in the lab of a drugstore. There are no reasons now for forecasts to be changed, ' Isarescu said. He added that although the Central Bank's forecast on economic growth has not been changed, it still stands at around six percent, new elements could appear until the next report.
