Conference devoted to hospitality industry

The first Bucharest-held international conference devoted to the hospitality industry will start on Monday at Hilton Hotel, with the event to focus on the opportunities in Romania's hotel field.

The event was organized under the patronage of the Ministry for SMEs, Commerce, Tourism and Liberal Professions, in partnership with the National Association of Travel Agencies. The floor will be taken by famous representatives of the best hotel management schools (Stowe Shoemaker, PhD., Cornell University Executive Education Faculty, University of Houston's Conrad Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management; Paul Beals, Ph.D., Hotel Real Estate and Finance at IMHI-ESSEC Business School) and of consultancy companies for the hotel industry (Miroslav Dragicevic, Ph.D, Founder Partner at Horwath Consulting Zagreb). Attending 'The affiliation to an international hotel chain' section will be representatives of the most important hotel chains (Intercontinental, Starwood, Rezidor, Marriott, Solmelia, Wyndham, Danubius, Domina, Best Western etc) that will debate this topic of strategic importance for the development of tourism. Romania must become a favorite destination in Eastern Europe for investments, after Russia and Ukraine. With significant investments in motorways and airports, with the biggest economic growth in the area in the past 6 years and with a safe strategic position, Romania is ready to welcome the hotel investors, on a market that does not have enough hotel rooms to meet the current demand.
