Companies can submit projects for investment in production, as of Monday

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can submit, as of Monday, projects for investment in production, for non-returnable funds worth 920,000 RON (250 thousand euros) per project, say data from the Ministry for SMEs, Trade, Tourism and Liberal Trades.

The total budget stands at 62.6 million euros. For small enterprises, no more than 60 percent of the eligible costs can be granted for Bucharest-Ilfov Region, and no more than 70 percent for the other regions. Companies can ask funds for opening a new production facility or extending one already existing, for increasing the production capacity, diversifying production, for upgrading. The sums are allocated under the Sectoral Operational Programme on rise in economic competitiveness - productive investment and preparation for competition in the market, of SMEs, in particular.
