Omnilogic to open logistics centre in Switzerland

Omnilogic will open the Omnilogic Logistics Centre (OLC) in Buchs, Switzerland, that will become fully operational on June 1, 2008 as the outcome of the first stage in an investment project worth in excess of 3 million euros spread over two years.
This new entity has a Swiss legal personality and it is fully owned by Omnilogic Romania. It will be a basis for the company's regional business expansion.
'We believe this development stage was absolutely necessary. Omnilogic has publicly stated that he is building up a regional and European strategy, as its main aim is to become one of the important European IT&C companies in the next three-five years. Logistics was the first main element of the strategy, and we have finally achieved it. As regards our business strategy, we will try to combine our internal productiveness model - over $3 million generated per employee - logistics expertise and the geographical as well as the infrastructure advantages offered today by the Swiss Confederation,' says Omnilogic Director General Gabriel Marin.
Established in late 1992, Omnilogic quickly became the undisputed leader of the Romanian IT&C market. Ever since its inception, the company has forged and consolidated strategic partnerships with top IT&C producers.
IBM, HP, Dell, SUN Microsystems, Cisco Systems, Nortel, Ericsson, SMC, RAD DataCom, Novell, Corel, Symantec, Lenovo, Lexmark, Vmware and Oracle are just a few of the world's IT&C leaders with which Omnilogic has signed value-added distribution contracts. At the same time, Omnilogic has been directly or indirectly involved in most of Romania's national and regional IT&C infrastructure projects, both in the private and in the public sector.
In 2007, Omnilogic expanded its IT services and software development business by acquiring Softnet Development&Consulting, the most important Romanian business partner of US IBM company.
