Carrefour Arad opens today at Armonia Shopping Centre

The hypermarket was built on a total area of 11,000 sq m with an investment of EUR 20 M and the shopping centre with EUR 50 M.
The 13th Carrefour hypermarket in Romania and the eight outside Bucharest is opening today on the premises of a new shopping centre developed by the RED Management Capital in Arad.
The Armonia Shopping Centre, a total investment of EUR 50 M, includes a shopping gallery of 15,000 sq m. The main store on the centre is the Carrefour hypermarket standing on a total of 11,000 sq m, and opened with an investment of EUR 20 M. Carrefour Arad Director Luminita Iacob says the hypermarket will retail ‘a range of over 50,000 items and will create 440 jobs.’
At the Carrefour Arad shoppers can buy thinks like plane tickets, financial services or insurance policies, from the hypermarket partner companies.
The new Armonia shopping park will also bring a Bricostore shopping centre. Bricostore Arad Director Carmen Manea indicated that Arad had been chosen because the city had a fast growth pace of its construction business.
Moreover, the shopping mall gallery brings under the same roof 80 new boutiques: Flanco electronics and home appliances retailer, the Staer furniture store or shops selling clothes, footwear and cosmetics. There are also interior design shops, IT stores or pet shops. The commercial centre accommodates banks and mobile telecom operators. Armonia also offers moments of relaxation at the bookstore, restaurants and coffee houses in the area.
The Bricostore investment amounts to EUR 10 M. It will be the ninth Bricostore centre in Romania, with 150 employees. Flanco World opened its second Arad store inside the commercial complex, with an investment of EUR 1.5 M.
RED Management Capital is part of the RED group of investment and real estate developers present in Romania since 2005.
