Eight brokerage companies apply for Otopeni Airport listing at BSE

Eight companies specializing in financial services are interested in Otopeni Airport, the statement being made by the director responsible for privatization within Ministry of Transports, Teodor Popa, according to The Money Channel.

In about a week, a decision will be made as to who will be the broker through which 5 per cent of the airport stock will sell, according to Popa. In a first stage, a selection procedure has been drafted addressing the financial service companies which will perform brokerage services in the capital market for the 5 per cent participation from the equity capital. Interest has been shown by eight brokers: BT Securioties, BRD Securities GSG and EFG Eurobank Securities, HTI Valori Mobiliare, Raiffeisen Capital & Investment, Romcapital, as well as consortia Rombel Securities and KBC Securities Romania, Alpha Finance Romania and Alpha Bank Greece, IEBA Trust and Piraeus Securities Romania. The representatives of the Directorate responsible for privatization within Ministry of Transports estimate that the remaining participation in Otopeni Airport will be put forward until end of the year. Until mid June, the Ministry will publish the notice related to the selection of the financial service providers in case of other four corporations, which are CN Administratia Porturilor Maritime Constanta, CN Administratia Porturilor Dunarii Maritime Galati, Administratia Canalelor Navigabile Constanta and CN Administratia Porturilor Dunarii Fluviale Giurgiu.
