Italian businesspeople interested in building materials market
ROMPRES - Romanian News Agency - 30 Mai 2008
Italian businesspeople are interested in the Romanian production of building materials, as well as in a possible concession of quarries and in designing and consultancy in the building sector, reads a press release of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bucharest (CCIB).
A delegation of Italian businesspeople from Salerno region met, on Wednesday, with CCBI deputy general manager Dan Ifrim and with head of the Association of Producers of Building Materials in Romania (APMCR) Claudiu Georgescu. The Italians wanted answers and clarifications about the market of building materials in Romania, about operational programmes and funding ways.
'CCIB has been the strongest organization of businesspeople in Romania, and even if, unlike in other European countries, it is not mandatory for a company based in Bucharest to be in CCIB, companies, employers' associations, other associations are entering CCIB, in search of guidance, high-level services and incentives,' said Ifrim.
He stressed that CCIB can grant assistance for the setting up of new branches of the companies in Bucharest, it gives them consultancy regarding niche aspects. Companies can go into partnerships, for carrying out projects leading to a rise in the economic competitiveness of companies, of the Romanian economy, in general, Ifrim also said.
