Vodafone Romania buys local dealer Vegastel

Vodafone Romania bought Vegastel 2007 Co., which sells mobile telephony products and services, Vodafone said in a press release.

The distribution network of Vegastel 2007 includes 60 stores, most of them in the counties of Suceava, Botosani, Vaslui, north-western Romania, and in Bucharest. Vegastel will become exclusive dealer for Vodafone products and services, after the re-branding of its stores, to take place in the period to come. Vodafone Romania, a division of Vodafone Group Plc., had 8,921,000 clients on March 31, 2008. Vodafone is the biggest international group of mobile telephony, with 260 million customers, on March 31, 2008.
