Stock Exchange goes down by over two percent

The quotations of the shares that were listed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) depreciated on Tuesday by 2.36 percent on average and the shares of the five financial investment companies (SIF) dropped by 2.5 percent on average.
The main BVB market, Regular, saw transactions with the shares issued by 58 companies, of which seven registered appreciations of their quotations, six stayed the same and 45 dropped. The value of the transactions amounted to 7.37 million euros (27.04 million lei).
The BET-C composite index, which shows the general evolution of the shares listed with BVB, went down by 126.65 points and reached 5,230.45 points. The BET index, which reflects the evolution of the most liquid ten shares that were listed, registered a decrease of 214.95 points (2.83 percent) and came down to 7,382.69 points. The BET-FI index went down by 1,342.94 points and reached 52,311.13 points. The ROTX index decreased by 497.75 points (2.86 percent) down to 16,885.27 points.
The shares of the Romanian Development Bank were the most liquid ones on the market, with transactions amounting to 3.49 million lei, at a closing price of 22.1 lei per share. Second came the titles of SIF5 Oltenia, with transactions worth 2.45 million lei, at a closing price of 2.87 lei per share.
There followed the shares of SIF3 Transilvania, with a total transaction value of 2.43 million lei, at a closing price of 1.59 lei per share, and Petrom, with transactions worth 2.43 million lei, at a closing price of 1.59 lei per share.
The most important appreciations of the quotations were registered by Azomures, 6.25 percent, Armatura in Cluj (central Romania), 4.99 percent, Prodplast, 4.04 percent, and Policolor, 2.94 percent, and the most severe depreciations were registered by Flamingo, 6.58 percent, and Compa in Sibiu (central Romania), 5.38 percent.
