Erste Bank: Romania is expected to report solid growth in 2008

Romania is expected to report solid growth in 2008, and, along with Croatia, Hungary and Ukraine also offer solid potential for investors, function of the tolerance for risk, reads the most recent research report drawn up by Erste Bank analysts.

They say that the main challenge will be for Romania the way in which it will succeed to keep the trade deficit in check. The analysts believe that in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, economic growth will slow down, at least in 2008, this can be explained mainly by the action of cyclic factors, after years of strong growth, inflation risk are on the rise. The central banks have already started countering them by raising the interest rate.
