Adobe Systems intends to open technical-support center in Romania

US Adobe Systems Co., the biggest maker of design software worldwide, intends to open a technical-support center in Romania, after starting this year pilot projects in four countries in the region, i.e. Poland, the Czech Republic, Russia and Turkey.

'We haven't set the exact date for the opening of this center, but most probably we will open it next year, ' country manager of the company for South-Eastern Europe and Turkey Selami Gul told daily Ziarul Financiar. According to him, Adobe has invested much money in Romania in the development of software, in the training of engineers, and now it intends to invest in technical support. The company can join world IT&C giants such as Oracle, HP, IBM or Microsoft, which have opened such centers on the local market. 'We have chosen to outsource these operations, because it was much easier to cooperate with a company already offering technical support for other IT players. The opening of an office and recruiting would have cost too much,' said the official of the company, who added that Adobe has not identified as yet a potential partner in Romania. 'But we realize that it is unpleasant for a customer to call outside Romania for benefiting from technical support, we want to offer them a solution the soonest, ' he said. Adobe Romania has previously announced that it wants to employ over 100 people by the year's end, most of them involved in software development.
