GE Energy to supply Romania equipment for wind parks

GE Energy, the energy division of General Electric, will soon announce the signing of a contract with developer of production capacities from wind energy, with some 250 MW in generating power, general manager GE Energy for Romania, Bulgaria and the Republic of Moldova Carmen Neagu told a round-table conference organized on the occasion of the Regional Energy Forum Foren, held in Black Sea resort of Neptun, south-east of Bucharest.
According to her, the developer already owns four locations for wind parks, measurements have already been made for two of them, this is the first project of its kind authorized by the National Regulatory Authority in Energy.
Neagu said the company she represents is interested to participate in any project in the energy market in Romania, it can offer technology, it held talks with all the investors which have planned to build capacities for the production of energy in Romania, such as Alro, Energy Holding or Electrabel.
'Along with equipment for the production of energy from wind, we can secure integrated technology, for small gas fired groups included, because wind energy fluctuates. The technologies we supply can go in ten minutes from zero to a charge of one hundred percent, ' Neagu also said.
In end March, Petrom announced that the thermal power plant which will operate on the platform of Petrobrazi refinery will be built by General Electric - Metka consortium, the deal will exceed 400 million euros.
