Raiffeisen Bank increased up to 3.30 pc the interest rates for the RON deposits

Raiffeisen Bank increased by 1.3 per cent to 3.3 per cent the interest rates for the deposits for natural persons in RON, while the interest rates for the deposits in foreign currency remain unchanged, a press release of the bank reads. Thus, the interest rate for the three-month deposits goes up to 9 per cent per year, for the six-month deposits it reaches 9.5 per cent per year, and for 12 months it reaches 10.5 per cent per year.
Prior to this increase, the interest rates for the three-month deposits were maximum 7.25 per cent per year, for the six-month ones of 8 per cent per year, and for the 12-month deposits they were 9 per cent per year.
Raiffeisen Bank gives a bonus for the deposits subject to three value categories: over RON 150, over RON 4,000, and over RON 40,000, if the interest rate is bigger as the amount of the deposit is bigger, and if the maturity of the deposit is longer. The biggest interest – 10.5 per cent per year, is offered for the deposits with maturity over 12 months and amounts in excess of RON 40,000.
