Bucharest Stock Exchange to implement standardized reporting system for issuers

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) will implement a standardized reporting system for listed companies, similar to that used by the US counterpart institution, BVB president and director general Stere Farmache told a seminar on the subject of the capital market's transparency.

Farmache said that standardized reporting will refer to both real-time information about important events notified to the bourse by listed companies, and the annual financial reports. 'This is a BVB initiative to offer investors information in a consistent and easy to understand format, for easy access. The system's implementation will be rather complicated because it requires a technical infrastructure BVB needs to set in place, as well as intense cooperation with the issuers,' said Farmache.
