Romanian managers have age average of 45 years
ROMPRES - Romanian News Agency - 23 Iunie 2008
On the average, Romanian top managers are aged 43-46, according to the 'Total Remuneration Survey 2007' carried out by the Mercer advisory company among 100 companies, Business Standard writes on Friday.
An employee can become a middle manager by age 26, much faster than in Western Europe. Heads of legal departments are usually about 31 years old, while sales managers are 40 years old. 'The whole industry is developing fast, which prompts much more rapid promotion of employees,' said Ioana Tot, Senior Consultant with ConsulTeam Romania.
According to Peter Jansen, Managing Partner of the Bucharest Consulting Group, top managers can even be under 30, which is practically impossible in Western Europe.
