ROMPRES - Romanian News Agency - 25 Iunie 2008
Romanian-held Romina Furniture, a manufacturer of environmentally-friendly children's furniture, which exports mainly to the US, has invested over 7.5m euros in re-engineering the plant located 30 km away from Bucharest, and in promoting the brand, daily Ziarul Financiar writes on Tuesday.
The plant, which was opened in 2002, currently produces 500 items of top-of-the-range furniture per month, while 90% of production is exported to the American market.
'We are also present on the German, Russian, Chinese and Romanian markets, and plan to export to the UK, as well,' says Dumitru Toader, president and sole shareholder of the company.
Romina Furniture posted turnover worth 2.6m dollars (1.67m euros) last year on the US market, while revenues after the first five months on the American and Romanian markets stood at 2.5m dollars (1.61m euros).
