Raiffeisen to invest 51 million euros

The 2008 investment budget of Raiffeisen Bank Romania stands at 181 million lei (51 million euros), the biggest amount being allotted to buildings, 21.38 million euros, as well as to IT (19.51 million euros).

Based on the income and expenditure budget for the current year, the Romanian branch of Raiffeisen Bank could post turnover worth 1.45 billion lei (411 million euros) from interest and fees, while expenditures are estimated at 293.4 million euros. The contribution of the Romanian division to the group's net profit increased to 11.17 percent. The bank registered a 1.9 percent drop in assets, to 5.496 billion euros. Raiffeisen posted an advance of 19 percent in assets last year, to 5.6 billion euros. It opened 17 units in Q1 2008.
