Transilvania Bank, the most attractive banking system employer

Transilvania Bank ranks first in a top of the most attractive employers in the banking system. The company is preferred by some 30 percent of respondents to a poll made by bankingjobs, a recruitment company, Business Standard daily reports on Friday.

'Of the 6,000 participants, 70 percent are working or have worked in a bank and 30 percent are candidates for entry level jobs,' said Cornel Dinu, General Manager bankingjobs. BCR (Romanian Commercial Bank)ranks second. The bank is preferred by 11 percent of the participants to the poll, while 8 percent prefer BRD bank. BRD was considered the most attractive banking system employer in 2007. Millenium Bank and CEC bank (Romanian Savings Bank) rank fourth and fifth. 'The business model applied by Transilvania Bank was probably a factor. All decisions are made individually by each employee and inter-departments relations are very important,' says Dinu. Wages are also important, even if they are not very different from one bank to another. According to Daniela Necefor, Managing Partner of recruitment company Total Business Solution, Transilvania Bank ranks first due to wages and company stability, being one of the few banks that did not operate structural changes lately.
