Daianu presents solutions for financial crisis and market surveillance in EP

Ex FiMin and Liberal MEP Daniel Daianu and Dutch MEP Ieke Van den Burg presented in the European Parliament the preliminary report on the Financial Crisis and the surveillance system of the financial markets.

The report outlines solutions to three big problems namely the improvement of the regulation framework and the transparency of the financial services in the EU, measures of financial stability and the systemic risks and the reform of the surveillance system, reads the release the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) parliamentary group remits to Rompres on Saturday. The report approaches topics such as the development of an appropriate framework to the capital of the entities operating on the financial markets. Strict capital claims and their intensification in extreme cases, anti- cyclical measures, the improvement of the risk management, the risk assessment reform, norms on the assessment of complex financial products and the derivatives, are but some of the measures MEP Daianu proposes. The two MEP's final report includes personal ideas and relevant opinions the financial experts expressed during the round tables and the public hearings over the latest months, but also an analysis of the financial crisis that Dainu was doing during the seminar ALDE staged in the EP.
