Two new indices track Stock Exchange performance as of Tuesday

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) launched as of Tuesday, July 1, two new indices: the BET-XT (Bucharest Exchange Trading Extended Index) and BET-NT (Bucharest Exchange Trading Energy & Related Utilities Index).

BET-XT is a is a blue-chip index that reflects the evolution of the most liquid companies traded on the regular market, the SIFs included; an issuer's maximum share with the index is 15 pct. The BET-XT is calculated retroactively starting January 1, 2007 and has a reference value of 1,000 points. The issuers included in the new indicator are as follows: Altur (ALT), Alumil (ALU), Antibiotice (ATB), Biofarm (BIO), BRD-SocGen (BRD), SSIF Broker (BRK), Compa (CMP), Condmag (COMI), Flamingo (FLA), Impact (IMP), Oltchim (OLT), Prodplast (PPL), Rompetrol Well Services (PTR), Rompetrol Refinery (RRC), Zentiva (SCD), Petrom (SNP), Turbomecanica (TBM), Transelectrica (TEL), Transgaz (TGN), Transylvania Bak (TLV) and the five Financial Investment Societies (SIF). The BET Energy & Related Utilities Index (BET-NT) is a sectoral index that tracks the evolution of the ten issuers traded on the BVB regular market running their main business in the energy sector and related utilities. The BET-NT too has a starting level of 1,000 points and was calculated retroactively since January 1, 2007; an issuer's maximum share with this index is 30 pct. The companies included in the BET-NT are Condmag (COMI), Dafora (DAFR), Energopetrol (ENP), Oil Terminal (OIL), Petrol Export-Import (PEI), Rompetrol Well Services (PTR), Rompetrol Rafinare (RRC), Petrom (SNP), Transelectrica (TEL), Transgaz (TGN).
