Net subscriptions of over 29 million euros to investment funds in H1

Net subscriptions to investment funds exceeded 29 million euros in H1, 24 million euros of them were to bond and monetary funds, read data from the Association of Fund Managers (AAF).

Bond funds continue a rising trend, they reported in end June growth of more than 100 percent in net assets and of 35 percent in the number of investors, compared with end-2007. The total number of investors to open and close investment funds stands at 176,456, of whom 90,1771 to closed funds and 50,756 in diversified funds. The net assets of the 49 open investment funds in Romania stood in end June 2008 at 896 million RON (or 249 million euros), down 1.1 percent from the previous month, and down 6.1 percent from end-2007. The 16 share and the 18 diversified funds continue to dominate the market, with 284 and 304 million RON respectively in net assets, down 10.9 percent and 4.6 percent respectively from May 2008. The highest rise in assets, of 20.5 percent, was reported for bond funds, while monetary funds reported a 11 percent rise in net assets. The total net assets of the open and closed funds exceed 985 million RON. In H1, subscriptions by investors amounted to 382.1 million RON, and redemptions to 272 million RON, with 110.1 million RON worth of net inflows. Sursa: http://www.rompress.ro
