Project tender is held on Romania-Bulgaria cross-border cooperation programme

The deadline for submitting the projects for the first tender related to the 2007-2013 Romania-Bulgaria Cross-Border Cooperation Programme is this Sept. 15, says a release to Rompres on Wednesday.
The Romanian Ministry of Development, Public Works and Housing in partnership with the Bulgarian Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works launched the tender of projects on three priority axes of the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme benefiting from assigned funds worth 16 million euros.
Projects can be submitted on such areas as environmental protection, transport, information and communications technology, economic and social development. This first tender targets those projects that do not need investment, like the conduct of studies and strategies, exchange of experience, strengthened partnerships, organisation of events.
The highest amount accepted for a project at this first tender is 1.5 million euros, representing a non-repayable contribution made by the European Fund for Regional Development and co-funding from the Romanian and Bulgarian state budgets.
Projects at this tender can be put forward by the public authorities - local, regional or central - NGOs, universities and research centres.
