Finance ministry attracts 193 million lei from banks

The Romanian Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) attracted on Wednesday more than 193 million lei after having issued discount treasury certificates, which were tendered via the Romanian National Bank (BNR).

The state bonds have 6-months maturity, with the average level of the yield the issue was established at having been of 10.92 percent. The balanced average level of the discount rate stood at 10.35 percent. The total value of the issue stood at 900 million lei, with the total demand from the 12 banks having participated in the bid having stood at 1.045 billion lei.
