BVB main index falls to autumn 2005 lows

The BET index, the main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) reflecting the developments in the 10 best performing stocks, has fallen to its September 2005 lows, while the BET-C composite index and the BET-FI index of financial stocks have decreased to their levels of two years ago.

Shares traded on the BVB on Friday declined by 0.94 percent on the average, while the securities traded by the five financial investment companies (SIFs) recorded further declines of 2.67 percent, on the average. The BET-C composite index reflecting the overall developments in the companies traded on the BVB went down 0.94 percent, the BET index of the best performing 10 companies diminished by 1.81 percent, the BET-FI index decreased by 2.67 percent, while the ROTX index declined by 2.16 percent. The BET-XT index of the blue chips traded on the BVB went down by 2.25 percent, while the BET-NG index of energy companies and utilities went down 1.66 percent, all on Friday. The most liquid stocks of the day were SIF3 Transilvania, SIF4 Munntenia, SIF5 Oltenia and SIF2 Moldova securities and shares in Azomures. Sursa: http://www.actmedia.ro
