Siemens to build power transformation station in Dej

German company Siemens has signed a contract, more than 3.1 million euros worth, with Electrica Distribution Transilvania Nord branch, based in Cluj-Napoca (center-west) for the implementation of a greefield type project in Dej industrial park, the company informs in a release remitted to ROMPRES on Monday.
The project's objective is the key delivery of a new 110/20 kV transformation station, called Dej Sud, with an overall power of 25 MVA, Siemens being the winner of this bidding organized on April 11.
Energy field is part of the three main directions Siemens wishes to get involved in, together with the medical and industrial solutions ones.
In 2006 fiscal year, Siemens posted in Romania sales of 290.3 million euros. With more than 100-year activity in Romania, Siemens has its headquarters in Bucharest and a regional presence in Brasov (center), Cluj, Constanta (south-east), Iasi (east), Sibiu (center), Targu Mures (center), Timisoara (west). It has more than 3,700 employees. Of the 15 Siemens companies in Romania five are production and research units.
