Romania wins international NetRiders competition

Romania won the International NetRiders Competition that Cisco organized simultaneously in 24 countries, one week ago, informs Cisco press release to Rompres, on Monday.
Cristian Sandescu is one of the five winners of the contest, while the other four are from Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia and Bulgaria. The winners will go on a fact finding trip to the Silicon Valley, in San Jose in Jan. 2009. They are to spend one week at the Cisco hqs., where they are to meet directors, system engineers and experts, who are to answer their questions and give them information on the fields they are interested in. Likewise, they will be also given the opportunity to meet Cisco partners and officials of other IT industry players.
Sandescu (21) is a student of the Faculty of Automatics and Computers of the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest. His first step to an IT&C career happened during his high school years when he got a CCNA Certificate and he trained later at the Cisco Networking Academy. Later, he earned other professional certificates such as BSCI, BCMSN, ISCW, CCAI along with MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional), RHCE (RedHat Certified Engineer), CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker). At present, he is a consultant at the Calin Tatomir Office.
NetRiders creates a new dimension of the Networking Academy. The contest is a fascinating experience in itself, and offers you good opportunities to prove your abilities in a competitive environment, Sandescu said in the end of the contest.
NetRiders happened online, on July 9 and brought together 70 contestants from, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Egypt, Hungary, Germany, France, Italy, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, the Republic of Moldova, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Switzerland, UK, Ukraine and Romania.
