Panasonic Romania increases sales by almost 50 percent

Panasonic Romania sales rose 48 percent in the first six months of 2008, said Bogdan Gheorghiu, CE Marketing Manager. According to him, some 51 percent of the firm's revenues come from LCD and plasma monitor sales.
In terms of units, digital photo camera sales advanced 280 percent. The company estimates to sell at least 60,000 photo cameras in the 2008-2009 fiscal year.
Panasonic estimates turnover worth €70 million for the current financial year, scheduled to end on 31 March 2009. Catalin Savulescu, General Manager of Panasonic , indicated that the company is market leader on the plasma TV segment, and ranks fifth for LCG TVs.
