BVB results in H1 will determine a slight rise

The results posted by the Bucharest Stock Exchange in the first half of 2008 will prompt a slight short-term increase, according to brokers.

'I do not think the results will move the stock exchange. Nothing new has come up on external markets, the main element that influences BVB now, but this does not mean that results are not relevant,' said Razvan Pasol, President of Intercapital Invest brokerage house, for Business Standard. Analysts indicate that foreign investors began retreating from the market last year, when the initial concerns about macro-economic volatility appeared.
