New road tax vignettes to cost between 4 and 1,200 euros

The new road tax vignettes that the CNADNR (Romanian National Company of Motorways and National Roads) is to deliver starting on Thursday, will cost between 4 and 1,200 euros, according to a TV channel.

The Eltronis company is to supply, starting on July 17, the CNADNR with a first batch of 200,000 such road stickers which are to stay valid one day, 7 days or 30 days. There are to be delivered 12 million vignettes by year-end. The one-day vignetted is orange and costs between 4 and 11 euros. This sticker will not be valid for such transport vehicles lighter than 3.5 tonnes. Those who own such vehicles should instead buy mauve vignettes which stay valid for one week and cost between 6 and 55 euros. The green vignettes, who are valid for 30 days, will cost between 7 euros in the case of the light vehicles and 143 euros, in the case of the heavy vehicles.
