Hidroelectrica to sign a partnership with Iberdrola and Vardar for wind energy

Spanish Iberdrola, world leader in wind energy, and Vardar Norway, one of the largest regenerative energy producers in Scandinavia, plan to associate with state-owned Hidroelectrica electricity producer for wind energy.

According to the daily Business Standard, Hidroelectrica is the largest producer of electricity in Romania. The company started to prospect areas with wind energy potential last year. Icemenerg, a branch of Transelectrica national electricity transporter, prospected 20 locations for the installation of wind plants. More and more local and international companies plan to develop wind energy projects in Romania, including Italy's Enel and Edison, German E.ON, and Gaz de France. Sursa: http://www.rompress.ro
